Undermount sinks are most often used for new counter tops made of a solid surface like granite, quartz, and even butcher block. Undermount sinks tend to have the largest assortment of sizes, materials, and features. |
These sinks have a finished mounting flange and are most often used in laminate counter tops. However, recently, top mount sinks have been used in solid surface tops. |
These sinks have an apron front style, but are made to work in a standard sink base cabinet. These are often used when someone is replacing their counter tops, but not their cabinetry. |
Also known as Farmhouse, or Apron Farm House sinks. These sinks require a specific sink base cabinet that can allow mounting of a sink with a visible front apron. Originally, these sinks were made of Fireclay. Now, they can be found in Stainless Steel and Composite materials as well. |
These sinks can be installed as an undermount or top mount. When made of Stainless Steel, these sinks are often popular amongst counter top fabricators who create both laminate and solid surface, or frequently fabricate tops for outdoor kitchens |
