Are you green yet? "Going Green" was this huge public movement that started years ago; where individuals, companies, organizations, governments, and institutions worked to focus on progressing their products, processes, services, programs and ideas to lead towards a healthier, sustainable world.
Just because you haven't heard Go Green every day since its birth, does not mean this idea has fallen to the waste side. In fact, this movement is stronger than it's ever been.
Back in 1950, four innovative men started a public program called GOOD GREEN DESIGN. The idea of this program was to bring acknowledgement to designers, engineers, architects, governments, corporations and individuals who have did their part in repairing our worldwide environment with sustainability- whether by energy conservation, reduction in toxic waste & greenhouse gases, diminished their dependence on fossil fuels, and have shown a sensitivity to waste, pollution, and the depletion of our earth's energy sources. Today, 64 years later, we have even more companies, products, architects and engineers thinking and inventing with a green mind!
We are happy to announce Native Trails has been recognized worldwide and by the GOOD GREEN DESIGN jury for the outstanding company that it is, and honored them for their environmentally sound and innovative product designs. This year, two of their bamboo bathroom vanities have received this esteemed award: Amelie and Halcyon.
Both the Amelie and Halcyon are apart of the Renewal Series, made primarily of FSC-certified Moso bamboo, which made its grand debut in 2012. The beauty about bamboo is it is a completely renewable resource. It grows several feet PER DAY, and can generate shoots indefinitely from the same root system.
The Halcyon (now discontinued) is loved for its sleek, compact design. It is absolutely perfect for powder rooms that leave little space for full vanity design.
The Halcyon vanity, was inspired by the mythical bird that breeds in a floating nest at sea during the winter solstice. It features a semicircular under-hang paired with a geometric cutout for an eye-catching look.
This vanity design allows for the incorporation of plumbing and a French cleat aids in installation and hanging. Halcyon measures 23 in. wide, 18 in. deep and 19.5 in. tall.

Amelie's (now discontinued) soft, soothing lines make it the perfect choice for serene, natural bathrooms. [I personally think it would look stunning in a beachy bathroom!] It's counter top, is completely integrated... in that it "wraps around" from one side of the vanity to the other.
The best thing about this vanity is that it also offers designer storage! Notice the glass shelf. But what you don't see in the picture, is it's soft close, dove tail drawer, that offers "secret storage."
By the way, this is not Native Trail's first time winning the GOOD GREEN AWARD. Their Bordeaux Wall Mount Vanity won in 2013!
