As stated earlier, this sink features T304 Plus Antibacterial Steel, which is enhanced stainless steel. What the heck is enhanced stainless? I'm glad you asked. It has the capability to prevent discoloration and kill odor-causing bacteria. It is highly hygenic and food safe.
TRU16 is Kraus' term for a TRUE 16 GAUGE sink. Some other manufacturer's in the industry start out with a 16 gauge piece of steel. But then it is stretched and pressed into something much thinner. This is NOT true with TRU16. A true 16 gauge sink, like the DEX series, is virtually indestructible, allowing it to last a lifetime.
Their new Radiant Pearl finish, has such a fine lustrous grain to it, your scuffs and light scratches from normal use will blend right in to it.
And, as usual, Kraus has their Proprietary NoiseDefend soundproofing extra-thick rubber pads to absorb vibration and minimize noise when the sink is in use. Not to mention the undercoating to prevent condensation that could ruin the interior of your sink base cabinet.

Let me start by mentioning that any Dex Sink purchased will come with the VersiDrain and DrainAssure Cover (all seen below). Daily, you can choose how you want to see your drain. You can choose to remove the FlipCap on your VesiDrain, and just have the standard basket drain look. You can keep the FlipCap on your VersiDrain, which allows for water to drain, while hiding food debris. OR you can use the optional DrainAssure cover that conceals garbage disposals, and just gives an overall sleek, seamless look.
