Glacierstone is a newly added Collection. Named for its bright white appearance, these sinks are formed from a high tech composite material that has solid color throughout. Unlike a surface glaze which if chipped would require reglazing to match, the glacierstone can be sanded and buffed out to a smooth as ice surface again! Nantucket Sinks Glacierstone apron sink is a patented design to RetroFit over a standard base cabinet. Large single bowl is roomy and easy maintenance in a modern material! Bottom grid and drain are included with the sink. The sink itself is solid throughout allowing you to buff out any scrapes or scratches with the included pads. Heat resistant to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. You'll also be aided by the included colander drain with its own colander basket for collecting more food scraps than your typical basket strainer. Composite material is sound absorbing and stain-resistant, non-porous surface is hygienic. Features a 15 year warranty against discoloration.

5 stars for the Nantucket Retrofit EZ Apron Sink!

We recently updated our kitchen. I wanted to add a white farm/apron sink, but I did not want the additional expense of ordering a new 'apron style' base cabinet. During the research process I came across a retro sink made by Kohler. I loved the idea, but I did not want a white glazed sink that might be prone to chipping. I found the Nantucket EZ Apron on DirectSinks and was sold. Installation was straight forward. We cut out 2 small notches of wood from the front of the sink base and we also added wood supports to the side (this is an under mount sink). However, it cost 'peanuts' relative to ordering a cabinet base and dealing with the tasks and expense associated with that approach. The quality of the sink and accessories are perfect. (Not a scratch on anything!) I'd recommend this product.
